A very defensive stand was taken by the TSB.
However, no one seemed to question why the
materials were in the aircraft in the first
place. The TSB spent that amount of
money, came up with the wrong cause, and
defended their findings by suggesting that
they were instrumental in the change-out of
the faulty aircraft materials.
Meanwhile, the media bought into it, not
bothering to ask why the RCMP would want to
have their key physical investigator
discredited after telling him to remove
material from file notes, and why Dr. Brown stated that
an incendiary device was the cause of the
fire..
